The Toughest Day Of My Life

Hi! I'm Priya Roy. I'm working in the magazine company in New York, USA. I'm working from last 10 years in the company and now I'm the chief editor. I'm living here with my mom and 8 years old daughter, "Aaisha". My husband is anywhere living in India because we are separated very early after marriage and also divorced with him. And now, my mom and my daughter is whole world for me whom I love more than my life. My home town is Ahmedabad, Gujarat from where I shifted here a decade ago.
Everyday I go to my office in the morning and my official schedule is very busy. Like always, today, i.e Wednesday I also go to my work but today's time was different from other days that my sixth sense is saying. When I wake up in the morning, I dress up my daughter for the school and I seated her in the school bus. After that I get ready for my office, do the breakfast and went for the office. In the meantime, I got a call from an unknown number that my little daughter is kidnapped. I quickly call to her school and ask about her missing news. The principal of the school said that, "please wait, I call you back within a minute. I'm confirming the information with our peons and security man." I were worried about my daughter and after a minute, the school principal call back on my number and says that, "our security told me that one man came to the school and told him that he is the servant of your house and take away your daughter in his van." I get shocked after listening this information and I get very much angry on the principle, "how can you so much careless about the children of your school. I'm coming to your school and I'm going to cut off the name of my daughter." After that, I called to home and said the news about Aaisha to my mother and she said that I'm informing the nearest police station for taking the help in searching. Before I leave, I tell to my receptionist that I have to go now, it's emergency. And I also said her that if anyone asks about me, just tell them in one line that ma'm will be back soon and you don't know the reason.
When I reached my home, police officers were already there and they were asking some questions from my mother. I told him that I've got a call from an unknown number few hours ago when I was in the office. They asked me, "Can you give me that number?" I said, "Sorry Sir, it is impossible because the call came from a private number." The police officer took me to their police station for taking my statement and my mom is taking care of my house. When we reached the police station, they said, we have to connect your number from our system. I asked, "why?" They replied, "it helps in fetching the location of that caller which helps in finding your daughter quickly." After that we are waiting for that caller. After sometime, my phone started ringing from that private number. Police officer says me that please talk to him for minimum two minutes. During my call, they are trying to track the location and they track them successfully, it is near Long Island.
They say that you have to stay here with these officers, we will bring back your daughter alive. You don't have to worry about it. But I recalcitrate with them. Just after few minutes, they discussed and took me to the kidnapper's location. They call the control room and ask for the force for more help. After reaching the location, we saw that there is a closed factory building which is not in use. When I go inside the building, I called that man and he asked me about the money. I replied, "I don't have the money. I don't bring that." He said, "OK. Then go back with the dead body of your lovely daughter. I say him that do anything with me what you want to do but don't do anything with my daughter, please leave her, she is small immature kid. He said, "OK. Don't worry. Firstly, I'll kill your daughter, after that I'll kill you." I said, don't move, don't touch her, otherwise I will call up the police." After 2 minutes relaxing, he said, "what are you talking?" I said, "I came alone but if you don't go back, I can call the police." After sometime, police came inside and start fighting with the gang of kidnapper for saving the little girl. After long time fights, police killed the kidnapper with his gangs because police are unable to bought him alive. And lastly, we succeed to rescue the little girl alive and save her life. Before returning to home, I said, "THANKS VERY MUCH OFFICER."

Friends With Good Heart

(Some conversation running from background between two people.)

"I'm at home. Are you coming for a meet? " asks Ram."Yeah, I'm on the way." replied Vijay. When both meet after a while, they enjoyed their times for hours. (Me and my friend Ram are very close since childhood.)

(Let us introduce both the characters of this story.)

Ram is working for the private company and he is the manage of his company. He is happily married. One day, when he is returning from his office suddenly weather gets changed and heavy rain started. He ran away and get stay into the shade of nearest shop. When it stop, he reached his home anyway. Another morning, when he wake up, he feels that he is not well but he don't want to do the absent for a single day, so he reached his office with little bit late. In his life, there are lots of twist and turns as a manager of company.

Vijay is a  businessman, who do the import and export of alcoholic drinks. He is also happily married. Suddenly one day, some investigating officers do the raid at his factory for doing the smuggling of drugs in the shadow of import and export. He breaks down after the raid by the investigating department. And he almost reached at the bankruptcy move of his company. In his life, there are only dangerous twist and no turns and he is now get scare everytime with his life.

One day, Vijay calls to Ram and said, "I'm going outside the city and my wife Anjali is alone at home, so I want to ask you if you visit my house once a day when you are free or call her once, just for formality, then it is pleasure for me. Ram said," what are talking? "You and me are like brothers, so please don't say this again."

Ram and Vijay, both are living and enjoying their life very much happily. One day, servant of Vijay calls him that "his wife's situation getting down and she is not well." Vijay said "please call the doctor as soon as possible, I'm coming to home in 30 minutes." When Vijay reached the home, doctor is checking her wife and said, "Don't worry. Countdown. She is okay. She felt down due to the attack of asthama. She get normal in a hour."

In the evening, when Ram suddenly arrived at Vijay's home, he saw that Vijay is not fine and asked him "is everything alright? what happened to you? where is Anjali?" Vijay replied, "Ram, if you want to know then listen -- today when I was in factory, suddenly my servant called me that Anjali felt down and she is okay. I told him to call the doctor and when I reached, doctor said me that there is nothing to worry, this happened just because the attack of asthma."

After 4 days, I send the message to Vijay for the invitation of dinner and said him that please come up with Anjali. Both come up for dinner. We all enjoyed the dinner. We (Vijay & Anjali) thanks to both of them (Ram & Seema) for beautiful dinner party.
Ram asked to Vijay after dinner that "should we plan for outdoor tour?" "But when we both are free time. I mean to say after 15 days or after a month?" Vijay said, "OK, after a month. But firstly we all have to decide for a nearby city."
After someday, I (Vijay) called to Ram for a meet at my home. Ram came and asked, "what happened? why did you call me?" I told, "we are confirmed and we are not able to decide." Ram and Vijay, both thinks for longtime. After sometime, Vijay said, "Can we go to Goa for fun and enjoyment?" Ram said, "Yeah sure."

(In Goa, Ram and Vijay enjoyed very much with his wife.)

AFTER TEN DAYS --

A call goes to Vijay related to his wife (who is suffering from asthma) that she felts down again & now she is serious. Servant called the doctor immediately. After few minutes of checking, doctor took her to hospital. After few hours, doctor said to Vijay that your wife Anjali is no more. We tried our best but... I'm sorry. Vijay break down after listening the shocking news of his wife.

(After few days) When Ram go to meet Vijay, he saw that Vijay is living his life with no hope and without any trust.

A Short Time With Tribesmen

This is the story of a photojournalist who went to jungle where tribesmen lives. He went to explore the city.
[In the jungle of South Africa]
After reaching in the jungle of South Africa, he met a very young kid who tells him that he help him and also guide him.
The boy asked --- "Who are you?" and "What is your name?"
The stranger replied --- "I am a photojournalist and my name is Max Cooper."
[And the boy took the stranger to their destination, i.e where the tribesmen are living.]
Max started to do the talking with all the tribesmen and he tried to know the story of them and the suspicious jungle.
He becomes friendly with all the people in one or two days.
Suddenly that young boy asked --- "Max, why you came here?" "Why you are so interested about the jungle and our (tribesmen) life? "
Max replied to that boy ---" I've curiosity about the jungle since childhood. Now, when I do the job as a photojournalist, I want to explore the city and I want to know each and everything about the jungle. "
[At night, Max do the dinner with tribesmen and spent some time with them near bonfire.]
Next day, when he wake up in the morning, the little boy wishes him good morning and tell him to get ready because little boy wants him to take out the tour of that dense and suspicious jungle.
After sometime, Max and that little boy go for the tour of jungle.
Suddenly, Max asked --- "Hey little boy, I'm with you here since last three days but I don't know your name." Tell me now, "What's your name?"
Little boy replied --- "My name is Smith." After getting introduction, Max started talking about the mystery of the jungle.
Next morning, Max and Smith, both go that place where nobody wants to go. Max click some photos and shoot some videos for memories till next trip.
After spending some time, Max say to Smith (little guide) --- "Now, we have whole day, tell me the story."
Smith said --- "OK listen, but this is very horrible."
He started to say ---" In this jungle, there is a lion, (actually that is ghost). We all called it as Sming, who pasonate of anyone after killing them. Till now, this lion kills about 3000 humans."
[Max silently listening the story without poking and without taking a single breathe.]
Smith said --- "But we don't have to worry because Sming doesn't come to this side. And after all, Canadian hunters came here before you reached on the same day."
He continues --- "Canadian hunters are only one who can kills that lion."
[After some day, Max went to the hotel where he checked in for a project. In the hotel, Max write the story of the tribesmen with which he spend the short time.] 

ENCLOSURES OF THE STORY

When you start to write down the story, what is that first things which quickly comes in your mind? The first thing that appears in your mind is the subject of story. The thought of the story will create with the imagination. Peoples in our society says that the story writing is an easy work but they don’t know that story writing is also an art that is difficult for those who don’t know about this art.
The language that we know, words that we speak, thought that we share, etc doesn’t matter that these things creates the problem between communication in our daily life. When a writer starts to create the story, he always thinks about the concept and subject of the story. Story writing has many characteristics like (thought of the story, concept of the story, subject of the story, & heading of the story).
After going between the readers, writers have many aspects for his work with the story. The first thing that reader noticed within the story is the heading of the story. Writers have to keep this in his mind that heading of the story is always attractable which is important. After that, the section comes is that the writing of the story & it has three main things, i.e. (first section, which we call as intro, second section, which has many things for discussion, and last section, which is the finishing line of the story).
Story comes with different genres like drama, romance, emotions, and thriller. Many stories have also the comic part. Story gets partition with many chapters which are easy to understand for the readers. Readers always want something new, something different which will be unique in all that way which they want. If the stuff of the story is regular with the repeated concept, they reject that story. Writers have to keep in mind these minor things, i.e., the stuff which he is using in his story must be new and different. Writers always have to try to explain his story in real way. Writers don’t try to give the new look in the story; he’ll always try to give the new stuff. Writers always think that new look give the attraction to the readers.
Story will be explained in many ways. But for this, firstly writers have to do the selection of the subject by which they go forward. Secondly, the way of presenting, if the story which is explained in a unique way which is look like real for the readers, the presentation is better and writers gets a good response than others.
From the different genres, if you choose to write the romantic story, you have to explain the love of couples via character which should be real in anyway. But for this, firstly you have to give the introduction of that couple which you're using in the story. Readers always eager to know about the characters that is lovable. But for you, there is a challenge that how you present the story to your reader. After introduction, you have to explain that how both of the character meet with each other. After that, how they do the friendship and after that how do they fall in love with each other. After that, when they are living very happily, an unexpected suspense comes in the story that they want to do breakup with each other because of their personal problems. But if you use these things in your story, readers think that writers have no new subject except these regular things. So as a writer if you're writing this type of story, you have to explain in a such a different way that readers get easy to understand without any negative thought against writing and the writer.
If the writer has no new clue for his story, they have to visit the scene and scenario for a different thought of his story. They have to meet new people, try to know about his story, their past and present problem, and try to find the new twist for the story. Writing is an easy work but it is hard for those who do not try to write. Perfection within the writing is not necessary. If your thinking and imagination capability is strong, you can become a good writer.

Ride To The Unknown Island

I want some adventures, I want a trip of the dream, and I want a real partner for doing some new.

It was the sunny morning when I planned for taking a beautiful trip with my parents to know about nature, to know about some mysterious place where nobody want to reach. When I’m doing the preparation for my unknown trip, parents suddenly started to ask – “What are you doing? Where you’re ready to go?” And many more question they asked me but I haven’t the perfect answer to reply them.

But after facing many stupid & nonsense question, mom says to me – “that your dad will be with you on your secret & stupid trip.” I said – “Okay.” After half an hour, dad and I reached at seaport. At seaport, we’re seeing that there are many ships. I say to dad – “I’m going to the enquiry counter for knowing for our destination.” After taking the enquiry, when I return, dad asks me – “What will the enquiry tells you?” I replied – “There are no ship for our destination. All ships are full or they are gone.” I didn’t feel sad/unhappy at that time because I know that there will be some another way for our destination.

When dad & I walking on the seaport, suddenly we saw an old man who is free and he is doing some unusual work. Dad says me – “Hey, let’s ask to that old man. Maybe he helps me at now.” We go there to him and ask him – “We want to go on a trip and there are no blank ships, so can you help me?” He again said – “I think you are also the pilot of a ship, please help me.” The old men get surprised after seeing I and dad; after a while that old man said – “my ship is not working properly, so how can I help you?” We say to him – “It is okay, we’ll manage, let’s go now.”

After departing from seaport when I see the dad, I’m seeing that dad is still angry with me and my plan. But I was happy because I’d got a partner in the ship. Didn’t yet you guess who’s that? Hey, don’t think so more. It is the daughter of pilot. When I ask to the old pilot – “where she is going?” Pilot replied to me – “She is with me wherever I go. So you don’t have to worry.”

[In the content of the story, the names of destination are imaginative and the names of characters are also imaginative where there is need.]

In the way, we all are enjoying in our own style. Old man asked – “Hey, where you have to go?” I replied – “We are going on the island of Indian Ocean.” Pilot said – “Okay, I drop you there.” I and that girl (daughter of pilot) sitting together in the back. I was reading the book & that girl is listening to the music on her cell phone. But in the way, I didn’t concentrate that what I try to read.

After few minutes, I ask to that girl – “Hey, what’s your name?” She asks me back – “Why you want to know my name?” I replied – “When we’ve to go together, we’ve to enjoy together in the whole tour then why we’ll live unknown all the time. So I ask you. If you don’t have problem, will you tell me your name?” She said – “Okay… I’m Alina. And now please tell me what is your name?” I replied – “I’m Sam.” I ask her suddenly – “Can we do the friendship?” She said – “We’re now friends.” While we are busy in enjoying ourselves and sharing the lifestyle, suddenly our ship stops at the mid way where there is nothing to do. Dad ask to our pilot – “Why the ship is get stopped?” Pilot replied – “Sir, it seems like our ship is get stuck, so we’d to wait until the problem is not resolved.” Me, dad & Alina get out of the ship, and where there we stop suddenly, there is a small island which looks like fired from many years. When we all get inside to that island, there is broken or you can call the building which was stuck, which was messed. Dad told to all that we can stay here for some time because heavy rain is also falling outside. After few minutes’ discussion with each other, we all get inside that building. Now we all are inside the building for our safety and security. When we get inside the building, the room which we saw at first sight is seems like fresh but that room is also messed up. Suddenly we are feeling sleepy and we’ve to take the rest. So finally, we get inside that room, cleaned up, and lay down where & there.

Next morning, when I wake up, I’m seeing that everything is normal. Everybody is now ready for reaching at the destination. But the problem of the ship is not fully solved till now. I asked to the dad & all – “Can I visit the island until the ship is get ready after a one night break?” They said – “But why? Why you want to visit the island?” I replied – “If this can help me in my next project.” They all said – “Ok, but Alina is also go with you.” I said – “Ok.” Dad replied – “Now, you can go & visit, but come quickly.” After visiting the scenario at the island, we all move to our destination where we’ve to go.

After that, story is continued with one and another. In the tour, Alina make my best friend and she helps me like she knows me from many years.

THIS IS MY SHORT STORY OF UNKNOWN AND UNPRETENDING TOUR.

Smile Behind The Emotions

I am standing in the balcony and looking at the lonely street. Street looks like lonely because there is only street dog who is barking at night. When I'm looking at the street, I'm seeing that my whole society is silent right now. I was thinking that if my thought is same like the street, then I have to change it soon. Suddenly, one of my near ones came near me and said – “Why you’re living like emotional and upset person? Why you filled your mind with so many other problems? Just remove all these trash from your mind as soon as possible and live happily that when somebody looks you and talks to you then at that moment no question arrives in his mind.” I replied to him – “Why that type of problems comes with me which I don’t want anyhow? I don’t want to live in these circumstances because where there I live the atmosphere has now very much negativity. I just want to go from here.”

Our surroundings and nature are very nice but the atmosphere in our home and society has mixed with negativity and similar to this. When I'm trying to spent some moment freely and relax, I wouldn't do it. I always want to do something new for raising my hidden creativity. My aim is not to reach at the top instead my aim is to being live at that place where I’m at right now, to attract and to say to the person who is at the top, after being continuously at same place, I do the job of top better than you.

When I walk through my street and when I see someone living happily, then I ask to the god – “When will be the happiness of mine comes near me?” And God replied – “Wait my child, the times of your happiness arrives soon.” I never want to show the sad face to someone to also keep them in sad. I am not only the one who lives his life scarily & tiredly.

Everyone wants changes in their life because changes are necessarily in today’s time. But the important thing is not the change in life; the important thing is today’s time in which we’re living now. Everyone wants the happiness instead of sad in every micro-second of his life. Life is not easy to live so we have to enjoy every time of our life. Our life is short and we want more happiness. Time is like the life, time has also different phases and we never have to waste the time without any story with every time.

The street of my life is not running slow, I'm standing back with everyone who wants me in the front. But there is also a reason and it is my thought which is now fills up with negativity and loneliness. When I think about my life then why I get sad? Why my minds get toward the lonely street? These questions have no such strong reason. I know that my upcoming future is full of tough works and happiness but now question is still the same why the today’s time of mine is covered with negativity, loneliness, angriness and etc bad things? Is there any reason of these questions? No, there is not any such good and strong reason of my present times.

When we want to do something new, something different then why some of my closer ones do not like these things? I have many questions in my mind but there is not such strong or perfect answer. I don’t want to live alone; I just want a partner who lives my feelings, my emotions, etc. who also understands me. I don’t want to spend my life inside the cage of limits where there is no freedom, no extra duties. I want my life which is filled with freedom, which is also filled with extra works. But when I think in the alone time then I get depressed that why this is not possible? But anyway, I've my family; I've my friends (some good & some bad). And now I'm keeping distance with those people who is not part of my life or don’t want to be the part of my life.

Feelings Of The Scared Teen

A little doll lay on her bed and thinking about the upcoming year of herself. Suddenly her favorite prince who is miles away gets connected with her and asks – “What’s happen my child?” She asks – “Why?” He said – “If I may help you.” She asks again – “But why?” He said – “I think I can help you.” She goes down in her thought; after a few minutes, she says – “Ok, but how?” Then his prince who came near her after few years, replied in a simple way – “Hey sweet doll, firstly please tell me your problem that why you’re so scared? Why you’re so tired? Why you’re looking in abnormal mood?” She said – “If my problem is not solved quickly, I’ll die without reason. My dear prince, please help me.” Prince said – “Definitely, I’ll help you.” His prince asks again (in anger mood) – “Can you please tell me your problem? I know I can help you.” Little doll get weeping and said – “Listen, my parents don’t believe me instead they always doubting me. And they always try to ask me some slight questions which has not the perfect answer; after that they get angry with me.” She continuously weeping and say – “When I was kid, my parents loves me very much. But now, they always doubt me and trying to get angry without any genuine matter.” Prince gets emotional and says that –“Don’t cry my little doll, I’m with you. You can share your love with me from now. And you can also share your all big and small problem with me. Now you don’t feel alone, I’m with you.”

After that, the prince and the little doll get much close as a friend. They both started to share all his problem and lovely talks. The prince ask with little doll – “How are you feeling now?” She said – “Feeling very much better than my past and bad times.” She started thinking and says nothing. Her prince asks – “What does happen again to my doll?” She said – “How I thank you for getting me out of this big problem?” He said to her – “Don’t thanks me my child, just be with me also.” She tries asking to him (in scary mood) – “Can I love you like you love me?” He said – “Don’t scare, just love me. You’re my favorite child.”

Suddenly one day, she message to her prince (in crying and scary mood) – “I’m in very big problem. Please stop talking to me; I can’t talk to you now.” Now that prince gets emotional and started to blame himself and says that how I’m mad and worst guy that right now when my favorite child is in big problem, I can’t help her because I’m miles away with her and their parents get doubt over me. Prince started weeping in alone and trying to ask many question with him and says that why anybody don’t understand me till now? If I started to love anyone then why they get far-away and after that they get disconnected. Oh god! Why you’re doing this to me? Why you’re trying to take me to wrong way? I just want to say one thing to you – “I just want love of myself back.”

After knowing the problems of my child, I immersed in myself. I started trying to convince myself that why I get emotional? Now I started to motivate her by doing all the things she want because if I don’t do this, she get week with inside and she never live happy and don’t want to hurt her in anyway. She knows that I’m her favorite prince and she always wants help with me and also wants to love me to live everyday happy. She request to her prince and says – “Please don’t go anywhere, please don’t leave me alone. She says that you’re the only one to keep me happy always.” Prince said – “Don’t worry my child, I’m always with you.” He also said – “I’m in your dream, I’m in your thought, I’m in your soul, I’m in the beat of your heart. I’m everywhere where you want me. So, don’t worry.”
After get connected again with her, she started loving him because she was feeling alone and blaming herself, and she wants the love by her prince back. Her prince knows that her little doll is a sweet and lovely child. She is very intelligent and beautiful. And now they both live happy even they are miles away by distance not by heart. Blaming, angriness, leaving one and other, stopped talking; connection-disconnection, etc doesn’t keeps anybody far with his love ones.

Real Drama, Real Stage

Let me ask you a question – Do you know which you called the drama? Have you heard about the drama? I think I’m sure that you all heard about the drama, about the play. So my friends, please tell me what is drama? Didn’t you get your answer yet..? Don’t think so much, just look here and read this line. Now, according to me, you’ve got your answer. ‘The form of composition designed for the performance in the theatre, where actors take the role of characters.’

We all go to the theatre for watching the movie of our favorite actor/actress. When we’re seeing the movie in cinema hall, we all enjoy with movie, entertain with music. But when we doing these things, we never notice to the minor changes; which makes during editing/making. Changing in movie’s texture, character, music and many other things is always happens. Many people have many choice; some like drama, some like romance, some like action and some like suspense/thriller. In our nation, every year thousands of films is made and release within world-wide. Indian films are trending back from more than 100 years and in today’s time, it is successfully continue running. India has a world record of releasing every year highest number of feature films. Did you know one thing, every films is based on anyone’s novel, any drama, anyone’s story. But while writing the script of any movie, writer makes the little-bit changes in the story, character, action, etc.

Drama has the same thing which we see in the movie. But one thing which is location is not in the drama. Drama has a stage where actor shows the play in their character. But as we come in the 21^st century, we almost forgot about the drama. The play which is shown on theatre through drama has the original story without any changes.

Our life is also like the drama, theatre, stage, etc. The script of our life is already written by the god on their own theatre where we have to act. In this drama, we’re like the actor of our own life where everyone has their own story. In our life, we’ve many problems, some problem is hard and some problem is easy. Sometime we get happy and sometime we get sad. Our life is short and our thought is big. So we have to do many things and we also want to achieve many things. We’ve many friends and enemies in our life. We also want to live in relationship with our female partner without doing any mistakes and mercy.

In the theatre of god, stage is always ready for all the humans where you have to perform all the acts perfectly without doing any mistake because god is always watching. One little mistake and your life is finished without any prior notice. In our life, we’ve many twist & turns and we never notice to all of our big & small problems.

Have you ever imagine how your life looks like? Have you ever imagined how will be your future times? Didn’t you have the actual answer? You always think that if my time is not running good then how will be the times of my spouse is better? I think we will have to give the exit to all the negative thought which is in our mind. But please note one thing, life is not like the playing card. I mean to say that if we show the wrong card on the table of life then our game is finished like playing card. Negative and positive thought is also the reason of our life which takes you to the wrong way.

No more excuses, it’s time to start making connections

There is a famous quote to C JoyBell C: “You can talk someone for years, every day, and still it won’t mean as what you can have when you sit in front of someone; not saying a word, yet you feel that person with your heart, you feel like you have known that person for forever…...connections are made with the heart, not the tongue.”

Sometimes when we feel anxious we start finding excuses to escape certain situations. All this happens because we are not sure of ourselves, and we are scared of our friends, relatives and even family.

You may not need to call or meet your friends or relatives every day to keep your relations strong and alive. But you need to be true to the bond that keeps your relationship alive and everlasting. I think if you declare somebody as your own, it means you must have a mutual understanding, and if you have that, there’s no need to give excuses or explanations.

Those who love you, understand you, and need you, will never ask for it. Having said that, one must also keep in mind that those who don’t care about you don’t deserve justifications or excuses. If you need to make someone understand you role or participation, if you are forced to justify yourself, or if you are lying because of fear then you need to think again about that relationship.

This doesn't mean that you do not even try to make things work. What it means is that you should question whether there is love, a strong bond or a sense of satisfaction between you and that person. If yes, then hold on to that relationship till last breath. If not, it’s better to leave before it’s too late.

There are many forms of yoga. Some deals with controlling bodily functions. In our body, we have two currents: Motor currents and sensory currents. The motor currents keep us alive by controlling involuntary functions, such as the growth of nails and hair, breathing, and blood circulation.

In meditation, one does not practice the control of your motor currents. The motor currents are allowed to go on by themselves so that the process by which we survive is not tampered with. Instead, we withdraw the sensory currents. The sensory currents give us sensation in the body. It is the sensory currents that make us aware of the sense of sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch. If we withdraw our sensory currents from the outside world, we will be able to travel to the realms within ourselves.

Meditation is, in reality, a process of concentration. It is so simple and natural that it can be practised by a young child or the elderly, by a healthy person or someone with a physical disability. Meditation does not require any rigorous physical activity. It is a non-denominational technique that has been practised as a science by people of all religions and faiths, cultures and back grounds. It is open to one and all, and has been offered as a free gift by the spiritual masters who have come to us through the ages. It is up to us whether we wish to merely read about the realms beyond, or experience them. The saints tell us that the body deteriorates, decays, and is finally destroyed. But our true self, which is our spirit or soul, is eternal. It lives. By connecting with our soul, we will have access to the answers of what awaits us in the great beyond.

In matters of trust, you need to be highly choosy

We all have to go through situations of trust and distrust. That is as inevitable as love and hate periods in life. Trust and distrust create scenarios that make the best use of. History tells us that trust and distrust have equally been used or misused to one's advantage.

Just as trust helps bridging gaps of misunderstanding between individuals, distrust makes one feel lonely and dejected. You distrust someone and a chain reaction sets in. As a result, life's journey and its noble purposes go haywire.

George Eliot, in her study of life's vicissitudes in the case of two principal characters in her novel, Middlemarch, portrays this inevitably sad story of life: "He distrusted her affection; and what loneliness is lonelier than distrust?"

True, distrust can't be taken as a negative trait all the time. At times, it becomes important that one gets to understand the turns of life when distrust could be the only weapon of protection for survival and for leading a peaceful life. You may be quite positive and even meaning well for the rest of the world, but that does not mean that you won't be taken for a ride.

You have to be positively discriminating to safeguard yourself. Shakespeare's wisdom, in 'All is well that ends well ', says, "Love all, but trust a few." There is no possibility of any harm coming your way when it comes to your loving even the whole world, but blind trust could lead to horrible consequences one could have never thought of. As someone said, trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it broken, but the cracks will be staring at you, to torment you until your last breath.

Smile - A curve that can set a lot of things straight

When was the last time you took time out of your busy schedule and smiled for no reason? Well, it's still not too late to dedicate a few seconds to it. Trust me, it will only do you good. A smile is a short curve that can set a lot of things straight and generates an instant response; like when you instantly smile when you see another smiling face. Even babies understand this feeling. If you smile with all your heart in front of a baby, the grin on her face will be even bigger.

A smile works in almost all situations, when you are feeling low and a friend cracks a joke that makes you smile through your tears. Feel proud to have such a wonderful friend, and to experience an emotion so beautiful. So the next time you feel low, just try this simple excercise: Start talking to a little kid or head out to see little ones playing in your locality; better still, join in on the fun and play with them and see all your sadness and depression vanish. Within seconds, you'll be smiling from ear to ear.

Instead of waiting for happy moments to come to you, take charge and create yourself. The idea is to find happiness in things around you because even though the worst situations in life, there still will be something that is good about your life and the relationships that you've nurtured. Talk to friends, spend time with your loved ones or indulge in an unplanned charitable deed. These can do wonders and not only bring a smile to you, but others as well. So, keep looking out for little excuses to smile though bad times and you'll be able to sail through smoothly. Remember, you don't own all the problems in this world.

We need more women in public spaces

Pink autos, pink taxis, pink signages in the metro -- when did pink becomes the colour of Indian women? Indian women wear a range of vibrant colours. The pink-blue divide is a recent western import. But the broader question: Do we need pink autos and taxis? Would this ensure safety of women? Will seperate spaces for men and women ensure safety? In fact government schools in Delhi are all segregated. There is no evidence that this leads to greater safety. If boys and girls from a young age are not given the opportunity to interact with each other in a healthy and normal atmosphere, every interaction becomes fraught.

I  certainly see the benefit of having more women drive autos, taxis and buses, work as bus conductors, work in petrol pumps, in general be visible in public places. Having more women circulate in public spaces is good because safety audits have shown that having more women in public spaces makes the space safer for everyone. Both men and women find gender-diverse spaces safer. A park used by men, women and children certainly seems safer than one which is male dominated. So the government should create the conditions whereby more women are able to move freely in public spaces. The Delhi Transport Corporation recently publicized that they have their first woman driver. They must now find ways to not only encourage but make it a priority to have more women as drivers and conductors. While women-only spaces such as the women's compartment in the Delhi Metro must not be seen as the final solution to the problem of safety. I concede that it is an important strategy in a society where women feel unsafe. It is important at this time to have some seperate spaces, but they must be part of a larger basket of solutions that also address gender inequalities and gender violence.

The message that we are giving by only looking at segregation as a solution is that a society without sexual violence is not possible. What we are saying is that it is not possible for women and men to live in spaces which are mutually compatible and safe. We are also condemning all men as predators. In fact many men do not inflict sexual violence on women and we need to figure out how to build a society where this is the primary reality. What we need to do is to begin to address the roots of inequality in our societies. We have to do the hard work of creating a more equal and just society and there are no short cuts and easy solutions to achieve that. Along the way, we may need to do many things to improve women's experience of everyday life, but the goal remains equality.

A Mithila Festival

The people of Mithila celeberated age-old festival, Jud-Shital, with traditional gaiety and fervour on Wednesday, on the first day of Baisakh. In the festival people receive water on their heads from their elders. In common parlance, Jud-Shital festival consists of two words, 'jud' which means blessing and 'shital' which refers to coolness. Hence, this festival, as its literal meaning suggests, is observed by people, offering blessing to their juniors, by putting water on their foreheads.

According to Manchan Jha, a priest at Radhakrishna temple of Darbhanga Raj, it is a festival which highlights the significance of water, plants, ponds and cleanliness. "Traditionally, it was observed for cleaning sources of water such as ponds and wells. That's why people which is still prevalent in rular pockets of Mithila and terai region of Nepal. Sadly, the festival has lost some of its original spark of late as many folks have stopped observing this important ritual," Jha said. People woke up early in the morning with cold water, kept overnight in 'lota' to be splashed over one's head from family elders. It is customary to pour water and irrigate trees and plants especially the mangoe plant so as to give it a new lease of life. It is mandatory to eat rice and 'badi' (spongy receipe made from gram flour), that had been cooked and left overnight to cool with chutney of raw mangoes.

"The festival still remains a lot of values to socialise and promote conservation of nature," said Manikant Jha, a Maithili writer and programme anchor. "We used to go out and play in the mud with each other only to wash ourselves in neighbourhood ponds afterwards. Not to forget that the Jud Shital festivity is protected by 'satuwain', being observed a day before in which people eat 'sattu' in the breakfast," he said. "Tradition has it that allthe sources of water, be it tanks or wells or any other such sources; it was cleaned on the Vaishakh Sankranti every year in Mithila. Not to forget hunting excercise in neighbourhood orchard and wrestling competition invariably organised in villages on the occasion," nostalgically recalled noted Maithili poet Jaiprakash Choudhary Janak. This tradition seems to have been gradually disappeared with the advent of modern lifestyle.

Don't take the easy way out

Why should we give so much publicity and importance to a heinous criminal ? This is the one of the arguments made against the documentary film that features an interview with the driver of the bus in which a young girl was gang-raped on December 16, 2012, in Delhi and subsequently died. The man has justified her rape and killing on the grounds that women should not be out and about at night and also that had she not resisted, she would not have been brutalised so badly. He goes on to say that in future, victims would be killed so as to not provide evidence against their attackers. These are responsible statements and much of the outrage that this man could air his ugly views so openly even while in jail after being convicted is understandable. But, banning the documentary serves little purpose.
             In the first place, the filmaker apppears to have got permission to go inside the jail and film the man. Of course, now that the deed is done, the home ministry plans to look into how this happened. Many feel that this is an insult to the parents of the murdered girl. But, perhaps the greatest insult to her was that inhuman violence. As do so many other women day after day. Also, the man's views are not very different from those held by many in other society. The views of some of our political representatives, our khap panchayats and even surveys among young people have shown that violence against women is routinely seen as something they invite on themselves.
           Documentary or no documentary, it is this regressive mindset that militates against women. In fact, his ultternaces could well evoke such revulsion among people that there will be more voices against such criminality in future. Instead of trying to suppress the film in which a convict has aired his despicable views, the ministry need to strengthen our policing system so that women have a fighting chance to prosecute their attackers. Whatever action is taken now, there is bound to be increased interest in the film. Banning the documentary is to take the easy way out. The problem it addresses will not go away quite so easily.

THE PERFECT GIFT FOR OUR PARENTS

Nothing is static in our universe. Time moves on and changes roles. Our parents, who provided us with an unbringing, an education, physical, emotional and financial security, would now desire a new and different life. Remember how carefully they guided us in our pursuits, our future dreams ? Isn't it time to change roles and think about their future ?

Our families, career and social obligations make for a busy life, which actually gives us very less time to understand our parents' aspirations. When was the last we sat down over a cup of tea with our parents and discussed not our future but theirs, not our goals, and aims but their dreams ? To tell the truth, if we had such a conversation and came to know about our parents' real wishes, we'd be surprised.

Times have changed. The passage of time doesn't mean the end of vitality or a good life, and on the contrary, our parents today are living happier, younger lives. They've also moved on in their needs, dreams and aspirations. They might want to indulge in a new pastime, lead an active lifestyle or even dream of a life in the hills.

BE SAFE ON ROADS

Very difficult to drive the vehicle in Delhi. It is also difficult that there is not any book or organization for right guidelines to drive the vehicle in Delhi. As an experienced driver, it is my duty to give some guideline about how to drive the vehicle in Delhi.
1) In the car, accelerator is for increase the speed and break is for stop. My experience says that many people drives the car years & years but they don't know what is the use of break.
2) This is not necessary that the maximum speed given in the speedometre you have to drive in that speed. Car is being run in the different speed according to necessity, but it is safe that maximum car is runs below the speed of 100.
3) Don't drive on the edge of road because on the edge of road there is broken railing, tree, stone, sand, bicycle, auto rickshaw, buildings, etc anything is there. In the night, take special care for this matter because sometime where there is broken tree or stone there is not any street light.
4)  Don't drive the car in between the road, because this is also danger that vehicle from both the sides made the accident of your car. Then there is question that where we drive the car ? The answer is it is good that don't drive the car anyhow.
5) After talking to the different drivers, I made the list of those cars which drivers drives the cars very dangerously & we have to do the special care. The names are :- buses, small trucks, big trucks, taxies (specially taxies of call centre), auto rickshaw, three wheelers of goods carrier, trackters, bikes, scooters, bicycle, bicycle rickshaw, and also those which is running or stayed on the road, pedestrian people. There is not any danger with air planes, ship & spaceship. This is the some advice, and some other days for more advice.

How many muscles are there in the human body ?

The human body has more than 600 major muscles. About 240 of them have specific names. There are two main types of muscles (1) skeleton muscles and (2) smooth muscles. A third kind of mudcles called Cardiac Muscle has characterestics of both skeleton and smooth muscles. It is found only in the heart. Skeleton muscles help hold the bones of the skeleton together and give the body shape. They also make the body move. Skeleton muscles make up a large part of the legs, arms, abdomen, chest, neck and face. These muscles vary greatly in size, depending on the type of job they do. For e.g., eye muscles are small and fairly weak, but the muscles of the thigh are large and strong.
